Yes Sela will accept a late birthday as they did with my child. She was previously in a center based PreK program the year before.

And it was closed....by the Charter School Board! How embarrasing.

Isn't Sela a Hebrew immersion program?

Yep. Great school. DC is happy and singing Hebrew around the house after a week. Very diverse program, relatively small classes. Teachers are very warm and communicative.

Did Bethune change? We were there last year with a late bday kid, but have since moved from the area. Their website has been listing 30 Sept as the cutoff for years, even when its not true.

That's what I was thinking too until I called and they accepted my child last year with a November birthday. Charters can make exceptions but they are enforcing it this year.

OP here. I called, based on old threads, and was told Sept 30.

OP again. Any more intel on Imagine Hope Tolson or Lammond? We're talking about PS & PK only.

Imagine Lamond is a fine school for PS and PK. There is a current thread discussing them now in the "what sum hooks are still accepting" topic.

I hear they had a lot of staff turnover this year (perhaps as a result of cheating scandal). They seemed very disorganized when we toured. Great playground, though.

The PS class looked very organized, happy and safe when we toured. Check it out yourself.
