The IMF is not an international organization, but an IFI. Be sure to do your research.

I am a headhunter. I would expect you to do the following:

1. Research the background of the person you are meeting
2. Look like you mean business with appropriate dress
3. Don't act like you haven't eaten in a week. Order something light...not a salad, not soup, nothing messy. Don't blow your nose on the napkin (I had someone do that once in an interview.
4. Turn off your cell phone
5. Don't look at your watch.
6. Offer to pay
7. Have some questions ready to ask
8. Like an earlier poster said-- make sure to be up on the news of the day in all major parts of the world (and some not so major)
9. Send an email thank you and a snail mail thank
10. Ask the HR person about themselves and how they enjoy working at IMF and the sorts of people who do well there.
11. Good luck.

I work for the IMF. It is an international organization. And an IFI, for that matter.
