No, I haven't heard of it. Where is it located? Cabin John? I hadn't been to that plaza in a while (I don't get out much with a 6 month old!), and noticed today that there seems to be a bunch of new places there. Including an oyster place, I think? Will look up Bennie's.

DO NOT go to Bennies! It's disgusting! My DH ate there and got a burger one time and he said it was horrendous! He also came home and smelled like grease...pure grease and he said it was a dive and the only crowded part was the bar where 50+ yos were getting drunk and trying to pick up each other.

Oh yeah half the wait staff smoke cigarettes and stunk!

+1 the food is really bad and so is the service.if a new restaurant is offering coupons wonder why.

There is also a BGR in the Cabin John shopping center. Very good burgers, good fries cool vibe. Cabin John is picking up.

My neighbor tried the Oyster place and like it so we may try that next.

This actually made me laugh.

We at at Katz' Deli in NYC for the first time. It literally brought tears to my eyes. Brooklyn's Deli, Wagshal's, Parkway Deli, Corned Beef King, and Attman's are all GARBAGE compared to Katz'. It's unbelievable what we settle for in this town (add bagels, chinese food, pizza, to that list as well)....

+10 so agree. I can't figure out why people settle for such low quality food

I am a former new yorker, and I decided to try Attmans. Bad idea. Corned beef had no flavor, matzo ball soup was bland and served luke warm, and most importantly the food was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I almost left without even trying the food after seeing the prices, but I was so hungry I didn't care.

My folks live on Long Island in a town that it not known as a mecca for restaurants. Why is it that their no name inexpensive Italian, Greek and Chinese restaurants serve take out food that is 100 times better then the expensive big name sit down restaurants in this town?

You can great food here, you just need to know where to look - places like wheaton and Rockville.

I totally agree with this. I grew up on Long Island, and the food was outstanding there, and the prices were a lot more reasonable too. I have found a few decent places here, but nothing compares to LI and the NYC area. Chinese on LI would be ~7 for a meal, and here at the only decent places I could find, prices are like ~12! I haven't found any Italian food places that can complete with LI, but pizza at Vace is pretty awesome. I get it with extra cheese, and it tastes great!

We tried the Attman's in Baltimore a few months ago and found it awful, so I am sad, but not surprised, to hear the new one here is the same. Can't stand Parkway Deli either. We satisfy our lox and pastrami craving at the Fourth Street Deli in Philadelphia; or if just lox, my parents in the Philly suburbs have access to a deli that has wonderful lox but no atmosphere -- so we just buy the lox and bring it home. Katz's in NY is on my list to try but we get to Philly more often than NY. I have entirely given up on good deli south of Philly. Apparently it just does not exist.

I'm guessing its a new location for the old deli on Lombard Street in baltimore? Wow, if so, I've gotta drive there from NoVA for a lean corned beef sandwich.

Now I wish I was still in therapy over there in the building.

Parkway deli is awesome!!!

There are some people (i.e. snotty NYers) who will not believe any deli is good when its not in NY.

I have been to plenty of places in NY and they were NOT good Jewish delis.
