Your DH is being ridiculous. He tells you no bottles then won't stand up to his mom? Who also is being ridiculous.

They don't NEED milk-wont hurt but they don't need it if the diet is good. But a bottle at that age is crazy... I would worry a lot more about rotting his teeth if he gets a bottle at night. He is more than a year overdue for moving away from bottles.

Start overarching hone. But DH needs to agree to set boundaries with his parents and not make you look like the bad guy.

Agree. I don't know how much fussing you thought he'd do over not having a bottle, but I'd never try something like this at someone else's house because I wouldn't want them to have to put up with any fussing.
