Why can Wegmans not open in Potomac?

I miss Giant Eagle. It's not so much the food, It's the two hours of free babysitting. I miss that child-free mid-shop lunch at the cafe more than anything.

No. I like Giant.

Whole Foods can eat a d.

Giant's frozen, wild-caught salmon is a great deal. Same for the wild-caught frozen shrimp they have.

Wouldn't buy the "fresh" farm-raised though.

Giant sucks, especially the western FFX co ones. They know there's no real alternative nearby. Whenever possible, I'll go to Harris teeter or wegmans.

We have a Wegmans nearby and I haven't been to a giant since Wegmans opened in this area in 2003 or 2004. We went to the one on Waxpool Rd for a while and then to the one in Fairfax.

When Giant implemented their new check cashing proceedures (TeleCheck Electronic Check Acceptance ECA System ; no mention of the fact that the RETURN CHECK FEE IS $30.00! Very Inconvenient!

We have a pretty shitty collection of Giants (and also Safeways) in Arlington. Harris Teeter is my go-to.

Safeway is worse!

I cant find anything in these super sized grocery stores, that is why I prefer Trader Joes.

Ever since Wegman's opened near me I have not stepped foot in a Giant or Safeway in years. I sometimes go to Harris Teeter in an emergency, but never for more than 3 things.

My in laws live near a Giant and we've had to stop there for them and the produce looks awful, especially when my frame of reference is Wegman's.

I live near a wegmans and spend way too much money on prepared foods and things I don't need. Giant has great sales, I could get what I needed for much less.
