Not the PP but there is a disgusting amount of food dye. Sorry for TMI but last time I ate two red velvet cupcakes my poop was red. It scared me until I realized what it was.

i'm the original pp quoted here. it's because of the food coloring. do you know how much food coloring is needed to make red velvet get to that color??? it's unbelievable. and god forbid you get the batter on anything.
