OP, don't listen to 18:59. You would be welcome with open arms! Hope you are able to find something.

There are two bedroom condos off of MacArthur just south (?) of Rockwood Manor. Maybe some of these are for rent?

there is a house for rent off lily stone dr in carderock. I think rent id in the $3k range. maybe you can find a colleague or friend to share with you? Also, check the bulletin boards in the Bethesda Co-op and Market on MacArthur Blvd.

I live in the neighborhood and we welcome good neighbors of all background, races, creeds, ethnicities. I hope you and your family find a place to move into soon.

This is a great suggestion. I'm not sure I'd go with the Cabin John advice, as I'm pretty sure those homes don't feed into Carderock.

The feed into Bannockburn.

I don't get it. Why is Carderock the ONLY option?

Why do you care? The OP has looked at the school and WANTS her child to go there, so she's looking for housing that feeds into the school. Not a big deal. She's not saying it is the ONLY option for everyone(!), it is what she wants. Relax.

Thanks everyone for all your feedback.
Actually Carderock is not my only option but my FIRST choice.
I am willing to look at other schools
Thanks again.

I have one.

I live in a great 'hood I can afford in a decent school cluster.

I would never opt for a rental in a top-dollar area just to get into a school.

totally ridiculous
