where to buy fancy desserts?

I was going to say Praline and Stella's too.

I just got some desserts there for a Birthday but we go all the time:
-Regular Napoleons are AMAZING (my favorite)
-Fruit Napoleon
-Apple Fritter
-Fruit Tart
-Little opera cakes

I am more of a fruity dessert lover but my DH loves anything chocolate they have and they also have a chocolate candy section.

Do not go right when they open however, because some things like the Napoleons they bring from other bakeries and are not there until a couple hours after opening.

If you're in VA - Mirage Cafe on 7 in Falls Church has an amazing selection of baklava.

Is Reeves Bakery still on G Street in Metro Center area? Or did it get gobbled up? They had wonderful strawberry pie. I don't know if their desserts were "super fancy," but they were super good.

Reeves is gone.

Their desserts are terrible. Try pastries by Randolph or Heidelberg Bakery in Arlington.

At least Swing's is still there. Good to know it's had a revival.

+3. Whole Foods makes horrible desserts. I wish there were better options nearby.

I was unimpressed by Sweet Lobby.
Pastry Xpo is pretty good, but not great.
