Today, one of my DIE-HARD pro-McCain neighbors

Now THAT'S progress!

Progress? He's probably the asshat who stole the Obama sign out of my yard.

Those signs are hard to get where did Mr. Fickle get his -- the local field offices weren't passing them out like govt. cheese. I paid 8 bucks for mine and it was backordered online for weeks. Then it was lifted from my lawn.

Next election, take your Dem. signs off the posts and nail them to a tree (way up high) the way my neighbor did with his McCain signs.

Since most Dems are good environmentalists, I don't think they would be nailing signs to trees. In DC, at leasat, it's illegal.

Probably not. But still not appreciated by the tree, I suspect.

Obviously afraid of being vandalized, as neighbors of mine have been (after the election, after displaying 7 different McCain lawn signs in a 4 week period--each sign stolen or slashed)
Republicans, gracious--Democrats, not so much!

I don't know about DC, but in some neighborhoods in McLean, VA, putting political signs on the lawn is prohibited... And in Reston, if you cut a tree off your property you must plain another (nothing political, but amusing anyhow).
