Am i the only one who's relieved the school year is over?

Yup, I'm thrilled!

So happy not to have to rush around and make lunches anymore. I love the time with my kids. But sad bc kids had great teachers this year... and next year... who knows.

Happy! My kids love camp, come home totally worn out from exercise, no HW!

Totally with you OP! Summer is so much easier. And my son really doesn't enjoy school. It's so nice to see him happy again.

Over the moon. No homework and no worries about tardies if we're running late. I'm glad I get a vacation from the moms at our school.

dd can sleep until she naturally rises, that's priceless!

Overjoyed. DC had a terrible teacher this year, so summer will be fun, fun, fun; not worrying about being late to camp, family vacation, no homework and last minute school requests to deal with. Yes!

My kid finished PreK in DC and is going back to daycare. Tr routine is not so different--still need to dropoff, pickup, make lunch etc. But Im dreading the summer next year when I will have to cobble together camps in odd locations, worse hours, and where DC doesn't necessarily know anyone. Do most FT working parents feel this way about summer? It seems so hard. Normally I take metro but think I will have to drive for camp because of locations...more money and stress!!

9:56 Don't despair. Many people have their children in the same camp all summer. Start early say in January, figure out what you want for camp-DC's interests, your need to stay sane about the commute, etc., then pick out the camps. While you miss the last minute deals, you do get the peace of mind which is so important.
