Current, eight of the ten most current posts here are about AAP....

AAP season runs from the end of December (when people start asking when scores and in pool letters are coming in the mail) to the end of July when appeals wrap up. That's a full seven months nonstop. Plus I'm sure there is also a lot of chatter around October when tests are administered (e.g. prepping vs. not prepping). I think it's a "current topic" nonstop for at least eight month and so should be a separate forum. It isn't hard for other interesting topics to quickly get lost because they immediately get bumped way down the list by all the AAP threads. I read the AAP threads because they are entertaining, but I can see how it would be frustrating for someone with a non AAP question that gets lost and so never gets answered.

AAP subforum YES! Please do it soon. I am moving to the area this summer and would like to get basic school information from DCUM without weeding through all the AAP stuff.

Please create an AAP subforum, but don't make it a Fairfax County forum--we're not ALL obsessed with AAP!

Not sure I would have found a separate forum and that would have been too bad.

Really? Doesn't AAP make itself known to all FCPS parents? And wouldn't you be able to look for an AAP forum here?

...so glad I did not know about this forum when my DCS were in 2nd grade! I would have thought that all the other AAP parents were like DCUM posters.
