| Emirates is awesome and they give cool toys to the kids! |

I agree about eliminating the UAL option. Airline preference aside, it is three legs instead of two, and with the domestic leg, you'd have to collect your luggage to clear customs at ORD before re-checking it to head home. That would be an unpleasant nuisance even without kids, and miserable with them IMHO.
I've only flown KAL for intra-Asia flights, and even those were long ago, but I thought they were very nice. AF is ok IF it is really AF metal. They code-share with Delta sometimes as I recall, and the Delta 767s I've flown over the Atlantic have been old and in bad condition. |
| 09:28 here. Just remembered one thing that may make a difference to you: UAL has two non-stops per day, NRT-IAD. The flight time is insanely short, like 12 hours. I don't know if either of those works with your schedule or price, but if it meant chopping hours off my flight, I might suck it up and fly UAL. Depends on how long the HKG-NRT leg is, I guess. |

LOVE Emirates! Can't say enough good things. Super kid friendly.
I miss HK. Wish I were there now. |
| SO you like the Royal Saudi Family and support their ways? |
Geography much? |
Know the history of the airline much? |
LOL you are really, really confused. |
Yes, what are you refering to? |
Here is a little tip for you: when you are in a hole, stop digging. You might also want to lay off the internets for a few days while you study an atlas. |
So, so strange. |
Given the state of UK public finances I wouldn't hold your breath. |
| I fly regularly to Australia with my kids. Emirates is my first choice. They're great with kids. Even open up lines at immigration if they see you are travelling with kids - free strollers for use in the airport, great entertainment. Way, way better than your other options. |
For Narita, take ANA over United any day. Also 12 hrs non-stop |
| Don't ANA and United code-share on those flights? |
