What was the one from yesterday? Sthecie?
My sister has a "stripper name" and is a G-15 with the IRS. A rose is a rose. |
LOVE this thread.
OP, I feel your pain. I love this fore-mother (Julia Blaise) but yes, headed to the pole for sure. It's the blaze part...not the Julia. |
OP here. Yes, that's the boat I'm in too. I'm Dr. [stripper name] and doing quite well, and one of the sharpest people I know is a Tiffany who makes everyone she meets think twice about ever stereotyping a person by her name. My mom just hit it out of the park with my sister, she was going for rare-but-not-made-up with us both, and it worked, but then mine got popular and is now overexposed. My sister's will never ever be on the top 1000 list, but it doesn't hit the ear as weird. |
So "Amelie" seems like a normal variation to people? I just think of that damn movie poster when I hear it. |
It does but everyone will think you're saying "Emily". |
Well, now we just have to know your sister's name! |
So what is your name anyway? Paris? Portia? Ivy? Khandi? Monique? |
and who is "Dr. Stripper Name" kinda want to know that one too.
|
She said the name was unusual when she was born, common in the 90s and overexposed by the 2000s, so I'm guessing it's something like "Brittany". Or maybe "Brittani" ![]() |
I dunno, the guesses are kind of awesome. ![]() I am named after a color and she is named after a bird. |
Gotta be Amber. |
Well, it's the normal French version of the name, just as Amalia is the Portuguese version. I know a seven-year-old Amelie. |
It made me think of Dr Bunny from MadTV |
Amber or Coral Robin or Swan |
The bird name is driving me nuts--Anhinga? Phoebe? Caracara? Chickadee? Jacana? Myna? Sora?
