DCHS Students Brawl at Gallery Place

Anyone remember when the freshman got his face pounded in by 3 other "freshman" who were 17 and 18?

That was at the start of Rhee's tenure as I recall.

Then it happened in 2007. A lot has changed since then.

The only other public school ward 3 parents choose is School Without Walls.

And to reiterate , the tough stuff happens OFF campus now -- not "at" Wilson. Well at least as much as it once did, I'm told. They take it elsewhere. Much more oversight now, which I like as a nearby resident.

How about the demographic of the student population?

Live IB and use many Wilson kids as sitters. Most kids around us go to a mix of Wilson, SWW and privates. Before most kids went private (kids are in middles school so we have been using sitters for years). Definitely changes in the last 3 or so years. Definitely most are going to Wilson and SWW. I only know a few who went private. Us? Still undecided!

Well, you can't get in OOB anymore...

Reminds me of that photo project that some students did on the security measures at their school supposedly in response to school shootings such as Newtown. My thought then was, no the security is to protect you students from shooting one another. This proves that point.

Of course you can, you go through the feeders. That is the problem.

Maybe because the kids at Langley and McLean trash talk each other at a local McDonald's, and the Wilson and McKinley kids try to beat the crap out of each other at a Metro station during rush hour. If there were footage of NoVa or MoCo kids brawling like this, it would make the news.

If you equate your dog to school children, then you've should've gotten spayed.

I guess the black kids at Wilson got tired of beating up the white kids at Wilson. That's news worthy I think because Wilson was a horror for white kids they suffered in silence.

This Wilson and McKinley brawl stemmed from twitter and instagram trash talking.

It is technology at its all time worst. Yet, don't think this is a new fad, school fights are happening all over this city.

They don't?

+1. The Wilson and McKinley kids are smart enough to read text messages telling them to show up at flash mobs, and too stupid for just about anything else.

Horrible, and sad to think what these brawling thugs progress to later:

No way will I send a child of mine to a DC public high school.
