Totally agree. Joe Lieberman is the worst kind of politician -- egotistical, completely self-serving -- buh-bye Joe. |
He's a Maverick traitor. |
but Palin's seven year old daughter needs a $500 purse... http://deceiver.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/piper_palin_lv.jpg

Cindy McCain's $300,000 Outfit September 04, 2008 03:39 PM ET | Robert Schlesinger | Permanent Link | Print ST. PAUL—Remember Pat Nixon's "respectable Republican cloth coat?" It's come a long way, baby. To wit: According to Vanity Fair, Laura Bush's outfit cost between $3,400 and $4,300. But of course that's chump-change compared to the roughly $300,000 that Cindy McCain's cost (the biggest line-item being $280,000 for three-karat diamond earrings). For those of you keeping track at home, Cindy McCain's outfit could pay for a four bedroom, three bath, 3,400 square feet house in Wasilla. |
Oscar de la Renta dress: $3,000 Chanel J12 White Ceramic Watch: $4,500 Three-carat diamond earrings: $280,000 Four-strand pearl necklace: $11,000-$25,000 Shoes, designer unknown: $600 Total: between $299,100 and $313,100 |
Wouldn't it be nice? |
is she a real American? |
I would have more respect for her if she just wore the suit and donated the rest to charity. I mean, come on. We do not need her in the white house. |
Ugh. That's just vulgar. Trashy, even. |
So the woman inherited money and likes to spend it? Is that a mortal sin? Don't we have bigger things to worry about. (BTW - I so wish if she was going to spend the $$ on fashion she could actually find it ![]() |
Just curious: Were you all as bothered by Teresa Heinz's enormous wealth when John Kerry was our party's nominee? She is actually much wealthier than Cindy McCain and has a wardrobe and houses to match or surpass Cindy's. Just saying. . . . |
You make a great point - we should not care what Cindy does with her money. Its hers and no one disputes that. Hell, if I had millions I would be buy totally different clothes and I suspect that most of us would do the same. |
of course she can do whatever she wants with her money...but still any candidate decked out in $300K, whether Dem or Rep, is a major turn off to me...especially if they want me to think that they understand the average real American. |
