comfortable pants to wear to work? (women)

Macy's had some (forget the brand name), that looked pretty decent for elastic waist pants. I think the trick is what you were on top. You don't want shirts that tuck in (and show off the elastic). You want a shirt/blouse/sweater that is made to be not tucked.

I'm not working right now, but when I was, I actually started wearing them to work with turtleneck sweaters and got compliments on them. They are so comfortable and comfy for weekend/everyday wear yet can also look good for work (particularly the black color). You'll have to go try them on in the store to believe me, but I highly recommend them - and everything else at Lucy, for that matter. Here's a link:

I have these and love them but would not wear them in an office environment. They are active wear--not exactly workout pants but not profesional.

Lee has great comfort waist pants. the elastic is hidden so they look like regular waistband. SO comfortable and so affordable ($25.)

I second this. Love the stretch crepe.

Also often at reduced prices at Nordstrom Rack.

Look at office-wear maternity slacks. They can be very loose and nonconfining. Confession: I wore mine a full two years after baby was born and they still looked great.

Look at the Lands End "comfort waist" pants. They're slacks that don't look as though they have an elastic waist, but they do stretch out an additional couple of inches. They're great.

My mom wears a lot of Alfred dunner. Most have elastic waists. I've seen them at JC Penney, Kohl's and Macy's.

Don't buy cranky pants. They'll make you look fat.

I was looking for a pattern for mens drawstring pants, with a crotch gusset for flexibility and on-seam front pockets. Then I find Mens Drawstring Pants at veggieswear.com

When going this route, please do 1 of 2 things:

1. Wear thongs

or

2. Wear a long enough shirt so your panty line is not visible to everyone else.

The problem with this style pant is that it's not very forgiving in showing every curve, lump, or line.

I LOVED THESE! I lost too much weight PP to continue wearing them and seriously thought about buying them in an xs.

I am in sure of some comfortable pants that would be acceptable in an office environment. Ideally, these would be knit pants or even pants with elastic waistbands. I have a chronic pain problem, and the seams of most pants actually cause me pain when I am sitting down. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Ding ding, we have a winner!

I wore some of my maternity pants over a year out of pregnancy. Totally comfy and didn't look bad at all. The ones that worked for me long-term were the ones with elastic waist bands and no over-the-belly panel.
