Actually that is not true. Principals think thy are smarter than cops do their own investigation, ruin the case and the bad guys go free all the time.

Rarely is there a case where only 1 child was abused. Rarely do people report suspicion, they just try to move their problem to another place.

This is true about multiple cases.

Whatever happened to the RM teacher, is he in jail, um NO!

If you really cared you would look into it. You could ask the states attorney's office in your area about the problem of abuse and if there was a Way to help. You could ask professors that teach about forensic psychology.

Yeah, this is absolutely the same as the widespread child-rape that was going on internationally in the Catholic Church. In the case of RM, the teacher was prosecuted, but escaped conviction. In the case of the Church, known child-rapists were quietly shuffled off to other parishes where they were free to rape other children. By Church leaders who were then rewarded with promotions.

Keep waving your hands though. Maybe it will distract someone.

SO where is the RM teacher now? Do you know? Do you care? Are you making sure he has not just been moved? Does he still have access to children?

Do you have a case in the area about the Catholic Church at has happened recently?

Any update on the 54 year old silver spring teacher, how long we're there suspicions, what did MoCo do to protect the kids, why did Baltimore arrest him not MoCo.

Have you read the police report, do you even care? In our own back yard. What are you doing to make sure our teachers are okay to be around kids. D you think 3 cases since the bogging of the year is a lot? Can't we do more to protect our kids in our community? Do you care to look nto it, take action, effect change?

Or are you like everybody else, it's not my problem, my kids are getting a good eduction.

You know, I was an abused child during this time. Not by priests, but by a neighbor. I was told not to say anything.
Said neighbor walked around looking in windows: was anything said to him? Nope. We were told to close our curtains.

Truthfully, the church did nothing less than the rest of society.

This is very powerful and true. Sadly, many people are obsessed with blaming only one institution rather than solving the problem and changing societal attitudes overall.

New poster. She's right. I didn't believe it, but I was curious because my ex-husband was abused by a public school teacher. The best study says that TEN percent of ALL students will be molested. Which reminds me that I should go back and skim "Protecting the Gift" again.

Well, said PP. It also highlights the need to focus on the problem rather than trying to point fingers about who is worse. Hate-filled people are using it as an excuse to irrationally bash one instituiton versus looking at the bigger picture.
