PP - Did the principal resign? What were the given reasons? |
| The current Principal has made a lot of positive changes at the school. Annunciation is a great school. You can go to any school, and will find parents who are unhappy. in regards to the parent who felt like they were dropping their child off to a prision, what parent in their right mind would continue to send their child to a plce that bad!! REALLY!! |
| The principal did resign due to family issues and having to move out of state. |
| Ok, I will buy that spin. At least he's leaving. |
| 13:16, it's clear you are in the minority in terms of rave reviews for this school. I notice you did not provide any concrete examples or evidence of what's great about it. |
A parent who is trying to plan for the next steps for their child and who may not have immediate options but to stay in a less than ideal educational environment. Obviously you are convinced this is a great school and can't imagine that others might not feel the same. |
I appreciate your experience, but what is being said about Annunciation is not gossip - it is other people's experience. My family has been at Annunciation for three years and with each year we pray that it improves and it has not. Unqualified teachers are allowed to stay, admission has been less than desirable in regards to children being admitted with distracting behavior and the principal has been an useless tool and leader. Computer class was omitted from the curriculum, P.E. has been nothing but dodge ball, the music teacher cannot play the piano and spanish class is a joke. These concerns are not gossip, it's reality. I wish Annunication and its families the best, but it is no longer a place for my child and our family. For the money we pay, we can get a lot better. |
| My son goes to ACS as well and is doing extremely well. As mature parents please stop the negative gossiping and simply nurture your children and enroll them where you feel they fit best! Do your own research and not listen to bitter and petty gossip! Enough! |

| I wish you and your family well.As stated you simply need to do what is best for your family. Peace and signing off. |
PP, you really need to stop and recognize that there are families at the school that are really unhappy and former families who were unhappy and left for various reasons. So, your accusations of bitter gossip are really misplaced and, frankly, childish. Also, I do not view ACS as competitive with other nearby Catholic K-8 schools, certainly not OLV or Blessed Sacrament. So, your DC may be performing well at Annunciation, which does not have particularly high standards or is comparable to other more well regarded Catholic schools and certainly no independent school. And, yes, I am speaking from experience not just gossiping. |

| You sound like a broken record. |
| If you are not happy with a school, then you should leave! If you have left a school, you should spend your time focusing on your new school as opposed to bashing a school! Just something to think about! |
| I am a prospective parent and from your overly defensive and hostile tone, it lends credibility to the current or former families about the school community. You seem to have a visceral reaction to any opposing opinion on the school. Not a very good Ambassador for the school. |
