High Cogat, GBRS not great, Grades 3&4- some 2s - What are the chances the child will get into AAP

Read for comprehension people. The question is what are his chances of getting into AAP? Not getting into the pool. As many have observed, he's already in the pool.

Last year 97% nationally was not in pool. This year with local scoring it is.

If it's last year's 97% CogAT, it's lukewarm, won't have a good chance unless very high GBRS.
This year's 97% CogAT is very high score, having a good chance even with a lukewarm GBRS (10+)

You need follow the thread. The OP's question already been answered (up to the GBRS). The later discussion is for other kids.

I did follow the thread. Yes, this was a new kid... but there was no indication that the question changed.

The question changed because the new kid was not in the pool last year and the poster assumed that OP's child wasn't in the pool this year because she assumed the percentile rankings this year mean the same as last. The follow up posts were just explaining the difference between the two.
