+100 I am also a Baltimore native and an Italian American who grew up going to dinner in Little Italy, hanging out of at the Sons of Italy Lodge, I was married at St. Leo's, etc. La Scala is the BEST. Plus you get to play bocce indoors! Salute! (I would not take my dog to eat at Sabatinos.)

Is there no love for Gemano's? The owner is Florentine and several of their dishes are so close to plates I've eaten when in Italy. The veal and the gnocchi in particular are pretty damn close.

Supano's SteakHouse a family owned restaurant in the Inner Harbor, I went there it's nice but kind of expensive, really great family environment. Prepare to spend money, btw they have a pretty cool video. [youtube]v=3-1nsuru2lo[/youtube]

Cinghiale'a in harbor east- the rest are"red sauce" Italian.
