Official Portrait of kate Middleton

She's SO beautiful in real life! The portrait made her look....haggard.

Whatever, it's a painting. She looks fine, and if she likes it, great.

It's horrible- maybe Kate likes it but I'm pretty sure these portraits are hung in their huge house and eventually in museums. Lousy historic capture of how she looks.

Years ago I taught English overseas, and the art teacher at the school offered to do a painting of me (he had done one of the American teacher before me so it wasn't weird). Anyway, I get the thing back and it was SUCH an unflattering picture of me I was practically haunted by it. I am not unattractive from what I understand (honest assessment, a 7.5 or 8), but this picture was so bad I ripped it up and threw it away. I planned to tell the art teacher I sent it to my parents if anyone ever asked me. (no one did).

Later that year the teacher offered to do another one of me (I think he knew the first one sucked) and I said thanks but no, you've already gone to enough trouble! or something to that effect.

If Kate Middleton didn't already have tons of beautiful photos of herself or wasn't such a beautiful woman, she'd probably be dying inside.

It looks like a bad tattoo.

I don't get the smirk - either paint it with her smiling, or not. But the smirk is weird.

It does make her look older, although I'm not sure why exactly--she has those wrinkles/bags under her eyes in most photos. Maybe something to do with the lack of smile? I don't really like the smirk, it's probably what is missing since she's usually photographed with a great smile.

She would look better/more youthful if she didn't weigh the same as a bag of grapes.

What do the other members of the Royal family portraits look like? It is hard to say if this one is bad without seeing the others.

I don't think it's hard to say this one is bad. It's bad. There, I said it. It's almost laughably bad. You know it's bad when a real life photo of her looks much much better.

This. It's a really wierd expression, as if she got caught in the middle of smiling. I don't like it at all.

This exactly. It's not just the expression; it's the wretched technique used by the "artist."

It's the jowels (?) area that aged her. Her made her face fatter than she is.

The hair looks gorgeous. The rest is a hot mess.

OP here. I bet she hates to too, but is too dignified to say anything negative. There's nothing good about that portrait. She looks 60 years old.
