Would you have washed these dishes?

If I knew there were used food / drink containers in the bag, then yes, if I had thought of it. I'm not that detail oriented though, and might have forgotten, or not thought about it. I think it was rude to make a face when A (or was it B?) looked in the bag.

If I'd bothered to open the bag or think about the fact that there were dishes/bottles in the bag. It's quite possible I would have just put the bag to the side and not thought about it-and I'd be guilty of spaciness, but not laziness or malice.

No, if the bag was zipped up and I didn't notice any smell.

Since it was the busy holiday season, I may have simply tossed the bag into my car to make sure I had it the next time I saw Friend B, and congratulated myself for being *that* organized. Not much time to do much else this time of year!

and this would be me too. I don't typically open other people's purses or what not. Depending on how close I am to friend A - I may have asked, "do you need me to put anything in the refrigerator or to wash stuff up before returning", but if I didn't ask and get permission to go into the bag, I most likely would never have opened it.

Yes. At a minimum would fully empty and rinse out (and tell friend ther were only rinsed).

Yes. You're friends right? Friends do nice things?

Were the dishes in the bag? If dishes were in the bag & bag was closed, I would not have thought to open the bag.

Also, if I had made a face, it probably would have been to grump at my own carelessness.

Probably, if I thought to look in the bag. I would not have dumped out the food container though. Like PP, I make a face like that at least once a week when DH or I forget to empty our own bottle bag and don't at least rinse out the dirty bottles before they start to smell.

Geez Louise. You could have washed the dishes in the time it took to type that.

When people leave belongings in my house that will rot and get stinky if I don't attend to them, I attend to them.

We run a sports program and bring home other people's belongings all the time. We always wash them if contact and pick-up take longer than the time until our next dishwasher load.

EWWWW. I would not open the bag! Half the time that kind of thing is discarded. That is why they make cheap plastic things.

no because unless I was asked could you just rinse the containers out real quick I wouldnt even have looked inside the bag to know there was any reason TO have washed them

At the very least, I would have rinsed. But yes, I would probably have washed.

Yes, I would have washed them if they had been left at my house.

If I had been the person to leave the bag and my friend returned them unwashed, I would not get mad because I had left the bag at her house. I would prob just throw the bottles away though after being dirty for three weeks.
