Hip, but laid back bars in DC

Any ideas? We're new to the area from SF and missing the west coast vibe.

Atomic Billiards in Cleveland Park might fit your bill. They have shuffleboard and pool tables and are very laid back.

Breadsoda in Glover Park is another option, although it does get crowded on weekends with kind of douchey Georgetowners. It's better for early in the evening or a weeknight.

18th Street Lounge?

Chi-cha lounge used to be like this. Although I don't think I've been since the 90s.

What about American Ice on U Street? I thought it was hip but chill at the same time.

H Street NE has a cool strip of bars - H Street Country Club has like a 9 hole mini putt putt course on the 2nd level and shuffle board and other games down stairs.

Other bars with games--
Rocket Bar &/ or Iron Horse in Chinatown; and also nearby Penn Social http://pennsocialdc.com/

I was just going to ask if this place was still around? Or Chi Cha? Ahhh, the memories.

Plus, the place is crawling with early 20's douchebags, so if you are in your 30's it's like hanging out with your annoying little brother and all of his friends. So not fun. Went once, would never go back.

another vote for Meridian Pint. I just love that place.

I also really love Bar Pilar, but it's on the smaller side.

And there's a place on H St. that I love - Smith Commons. H St. is sketchy in places, but you can get cabs there and back and never have to worry about it. I love H St.

I like Science Club too, but not sure what the crowd is like there these days.
