This is the PP. Sorry for all the typos, was on my phone. I meant toss in a saucepan and cook the apples. I usually use a moderate heat and stir frequently. Use a potato masher at the end to mush them up. As for store bought (which I know was the original question, but homemade is so much better and super easy) I prefer Mott's naturals with no sugar added.
Do you really think OP doesn't know what is involved in making applesauce? It's not exactly a state secret. Why would you assume the reason she asked for a jarred brand is because making applesauce is too hard and she needs something "easier"? Maybe she prefers jarred. Maybe she needs to travel with it. Maybe she doesn't have the time to peel 10 apples and wait around while they get soft and then wash the pan. Maybe she just doesn't want to. It doesn't matter. I just can't fathom how you would take the time to write not one, but two posts, giving information that won't be used in response to a question that was never asked.
Sorry for the harsh response, but I am amazed at how DCUMers are constantly second-guessing OPs and suggesting options that the OP has made clear are not options. Why are people so unable to take an OP at face value? Do you really not think the OP has not considered the obvious options?
