Restaurant receipt lists customers as "Fat Girls"

Well....maybe they should try not being so fat if they don't like the description.

Hope the bar is of the "any publicity is good" philosophy.

And while fat is just a descriptor, seems fairly risky to keep a careless employee with poor judgement. He might well use other, less tolerated descriptions in the future.

Asshole. Just a description.

What a jerk.

Well, if it's one person she had two Cokes, a Sprite, and 3 sandwiches. Sounds like the description is apt anyway.

The article says they refused to pay. So being insulted entitles them to a free lunch?

OP, why in the world would you post this on DCUM? You had to know it would bring out the bottom feeders.

So you wouldn't mind being called out on all your flaws on a flipping restaurant receipt? Get real.

Server should do what the DCUMers do: claim it was just a typo, auto-correct, who-cares-about-spelling?! and say he meant "FIT girls." So close.

What's with the sock puppeting

So you would not mind being called "Bald man" or "Stupid Idiot" on your receipt?

This is what bugged me about the story.

If you get bad service, you're not entitled to not pay. The manager can decide to comp your meal, but you would never just walk out and not pay for food you have received.

They could still have gone public and gotten the server/bartender fired, if that was what they wanted.

While rude, I'm not seeing why calling them "fat" is wrong. Why the need to protect fat people? If you're fat, you're fat. Either accept it or change it.

Who's talking about protection? This isn't a criminal or discrimination case. It's simply a matter of common courtesy.

Perhaps your receipt should read "Big Nose" or "Yellow Teeth"?

I can understand their refusal to pay. I bet if they saw the bill, before they had eaten, they would have cancelled the order and gone elsewhere. I know I would have.

To the PP that mentioned the Asian woman, there's a link to that story in the article. Her discription was "chinky eyes" or something of that nature.
