Panty Lines, I hate them, but I seem to be constantly battling them...

i personally hate the feeling of butt floss and would rather show a VPL. but i do find that simply wearing pantyhose often undoes or lessens the VPL.

Get an expensive thong -- Cossabella, On Gossamer -- sold at Nordstrom. YOu'll never go back to panties.
To immediate PP -- I know what you mean about the thin part, and found that these brands fixed that.

Actually, I have cheapo thongs from Target that I barely even know are there. They are a lightweight mesh (except for the little cotton part right at the bottom), and are way more comfortable than any others I've tried.

You have to be careful with a thong too, but for different reasons. Sometime if your pants are thin, you can see butt rather than panty lines. I have seen the ripple of women's cellulite thru their pants, and it's not a pretty site. I think full butt underwear adds a helpful padding. I wear the boy cut panties. For the most part they are pretty good, and you can find them everywhere now. Calvin Klein used to make really nice ones. I found them at Marshall's a couple years ago. I haven't bought underwear in a while. Also, make sure your underwear fits properly. Make sure it's not too small. The worst panty lines are from ill-fitting underwear IMO.

I wear on gossamer thongs, love 'em. Boy shorts work too.
