ok just found out xmas lights contain lead

Thanks everyone. I would just like to safely handle household items without worrying about lead and other toxic substances. Why does Cali have labels saying if you eat at a restaurant, it might cause cancer? Does anyone eat out there? LOL. I am just really annoyed. Why would Cali have these labels if they were not valid?

This could be relevant to crazy people that annually go to extremes and put 100,000 synchronized lights beginning in July, to get on a TLC Christmas decorations spectacular show. You're fine.

OP here, I found out IKEA makes lead free xmas lights and so does an online company: http://www.environmentallights.com/led-christmas-lights/lead-free-led-christmas-lights/mini-conical-wide-angle/14627-5mm50multi-4.html

Apparently you have to buy lights that are "RoHS compliant". In europe, they do not allow Xmas lights with lead.
