Ex-lowered child support

I was adding in splitting the fees for school. Even if she went to public school. We still have to pay before and after care.

You're doing something wrong. The site is pretty straight forward. If you split the $800/ month for day care, the calc increase from $382 to $385. Who's paying for child's health insurance?

If you take this to court you'll end up with an order for less than $400/ month. Then that will be all he has to pay.

She's under my health/dental insurance. But, I only pay $10 a month for that. I don't have a dire need to go to court. I just want to be sure I'm being treated fairly and this is not another one of his I'm going to use her if I can moments.

Do what you thinks best for you OP. But if you go the Court option you should have a clear understanding going in of what the Court would order for CS and why. Court & lawyers antagonizes an already difficult situation and so if the Court orders a number of $400 or less-- your ex may take a hard line for dragging him to court (legal fees) and then only pay exactly the court's number. Your CS could go down again from $500. That's all I'll say

He still would have to pay the child support plus child care fees. That's how I come with the $753...Basically right now he gives me $ and I pay for everything. All child care fees, clothes, supplies, activities, etc....

Am I still calculating it wrong?

Child care costs are taken into account in the website calc. There's an input option for mother or father or both to have "credit" for child care costs paid. You don't just add numbers on top of the CS calc.

Its not about you, its about the child.

Private school is not child care. Child Care is before and after school. Private school is another issue that depends on the state and divorce decree.

They still have to be paid and I'm the one who pays the bill every month with my income and the money he gives me. He doesn't pay anything directly to the school.

And its already factored into the CS amount. The reason states have very clear formulas for CS is so that everyone does not try to make up their own infinite number of variations. Oh, but I have to pay for this and what about this... that's what child support is for and then you have to make it work or find ways to cut back if it doesn't. There is one formula to determine court ordered child support. Child care costs paid is a factor included in the child support calculation. Divorce is expensive for the long term in supporting two separate households.

You can go to Court and hope for a different answer but based on what?

So, tuition is $800 you said? Which means you get $500 from him right now, and, after putting that toward tuition, are covering $300 of the tuition on your own? But then shouldering the rest of the expenses that CS might have gone to cover? And it sounds like you want the $500 for CS but also want him to pay $400 toward tuition separate from CS? Just trying to get an idea of what you're looking for from him.

I'm going to look into talking to a attorney if he/she says leave it alone I will...But, this is not just about the child support. He tries to blame me for his financial irresponsibility of being in debt. It's not my fault that he got all those credit cards and created that debt for himself. He sometimes does whatever he can to get me rawled up when I don't give him the attention he wants.

So it's not about the child support. You just want to push his buttons because he tries to push yours. I've been sympathetic to you somewhat, but you lost me here. You're just starting trouble, and it's not good for your daughter. And by the way, no lawyer ever tells you to leave it alone. They make money off people not leaving it alone.

He was paying me $700 a month. I'm fine with that. I will take care of everything with that and my income to include clothes for him to have at his father's home.
