| How do you run out of candy? |
I'm assuming too many trick or treaters, not enough candy. |
|
But don't you buy lots of bags just in case? We always have candy leftover.
|
We didn't, but it started slowly so I gave handfuls to the first ones, then had to slow down later because I was afraid of running out. Then it stopped earlier than it did last year, so now we have leftovers. |
Yay, leftover Halloween candy at work tomorrow!
|
| We had about 150-200 in Bethesda. Gave most kids 2 pieces, youngest ones just one. Went through 3 giant bags and 4 regular bags of candy (probably $60-70 worth - the big bags were $20 at Target). Have a few pieces left, maybe 10. |
| We had tons! |
|
My SIL just emailed. They live in another city, and have a neighbor on their street that does a giant, yearly, Griswald inspired Halloween display that is growing increasingly popular each year.
This year, they received nearly 1500 trick or treaters. They ran out of candy around 8:15 PM, and still the trick or treaters kept coming. My brother continued to keep count of kids coming up to their porch after they ran out of candy. Consider yourself lucky. |
They didn't turn off their lights? |
We live in another city now, too, and count kids by the 200 piece candy bag. We bought 600 pieces this year, were very careful to hand out one to each kid, and we still ran out. We even poached about a hundred pieces from our four-year-old's bag. |
| Quite a bit in CCDC. |
| We had a ton in Somerset. There were a bunch of kids who weren't from the neighborhood, many of whom were not in costume. Also saw two middle-aged women walking around "trick-or-treating" alone. |
|
Tons. We ran out of candy....
