Andre Chreky salon

I really liked andre's cuts years ago but it was costing me $300 with coloring. Just not worth it. Has anyone tried one80salon?

I've been getting my hair cut by Andre since 1992. The customer service and the hair cut has always been great.

I like Salon Rafique on M Street. It's small, but good. Rafique is a nice, nice man, and a true artist. Not cheap.

I went once...did not return.

I had a bad experience at his brother's salon in Rockville. I forget what it is called but it is next to the bridal store across from white flint. The whole family is crazy! And to pay 300$ even with color is a rip-off!

If you work near Andre Chreky, it's not too far of a hike to Axis in Dupont. A DC Urban Mom recommended George (co-owner) on the listserve, and while I've only had one cut with him, it was a really great experience. Expensive, but worth it. He listened to what I wanted and made some suggestions and the cut was better than I could have expected. He also told me that I could probably go 5 months until I needed another cut! An honest stylist?! Very refreshing!

I highly recommend one80 salon. The stylists are all great, and the atmosphere is respectful and professional. I really don't think you can go wrong with anyone there. I see Remy Metsu. I believe he is one of the owners.

If you work near Andre Chreky, then you might like PRPartners, just a bit down the street. I like Jennifer.

I actually started going there after several bad experiences with Andre Chreky--have no idea why that salon is so over-rated. I can't recommend anyone there.

Thank you for all of the responses.

One of the few odd ones out here, but Mindy has cut my hair for years and has always done a fabulous job. Rodney... not so much. He's more known for his updos.
