The prices are creeping up some in
GP. Look at sales price trends since 2008. So you're chasing the market, ever so slightly, buyers. |
| Very ugly on the outside. Needs a new kitchen. It's overpriced, given that it needs a new kitchen. The blurb claims there's 2 car parking, but the picture shows the yard is fenced. So I'm not sure where the parking is. The price is about in line for what houses are selling for in GP. I lived around the corner during college. It's a good street, but I wouldn't want it because I can't get past how ugly it is. |
This. It started off as over-priced, and they've had to dig themselves out of that hole. Most of the other recent sales have been better renovated (the kitchen is the best example, and the basement also needs improvement). The bathroom that is renovated is pretty taste-specific. Also, a lot of homes in GP have a small addition on the back, which helps the small houses feel a bit bigger. This one has a few things going for it (the bit of side yard, being an end-unit) but overall I don't think the renovations are on par with the price. -GP resident |
| its priced right |
| Looks like the price was just cut another $10k. Probably more in the ballpark now, though agree with the other assessments. The kitchen alone needs at least $10-15k to bring it up to par with others in the neighborhood. |
+1 Also searching in GP. This one is a bit overpriced for what it is. Also, for me, I'd prefer a TH with a parking spot off the alley. |
|
I don't think that the price is that far off at this point.
However, I would not want to live right next to the alley. |
It's people who have traveled widely who can appreciate how non-descript this house is. St. Louis has wonderful rowhouses in neighborhoods with real character. |
Sure, everybody loves a beautiful house. What suggestion would you give OP to commute between the pretty house in St Louis and her work in DC? |

Granted, not glover park... but for price comparison. |
| Even people out in the sticks can tell you that the house is ugly, needs updates, etc. if a house is priced right, then it willsell...even if it is ugly, needs updates, is on an alley, eyc. Obviously it is overpriced. |
| I live around the corner from the Veazey house. It's kind of ugly on the outside. Kitchen countertops look like Corian, not granite. Overall, inside it's nice. It's priced right for the neighborhood. The GP house is just too ugly, and needs a new kitchen. |
