Apple fritters and caramel apples are great this time of year. Apple pie although that's not so different from apple crisp.

Since your husband doesn't eat meat, make a pan of dressing instead. |

I make desert for myself which is basically apple pie filling without the crust -
very small amount of butter to sautee in chopped apple with skin on dash sugar (really small amount), salt, cinnamon, nutmeg Serve with 1/4 cup of ice cream or frozen yogurt or eat plain. |
