10 year old's thoughts of dying

Agreed. However, you can ask her if she would be more comfortable talking to someone about it - maybe she would be. A few visits with a therapist and she'll be done.

This is very common for 10ish year olds.

Discuss it honestly with her. Death is real, it does happen, but it is nothing to be afraid of. Taking care of your body helps you stay healthy. etc.
