Above is Colbert's versionof the 47%. Colbert and Stewart are hilarious.

I liked Stewart's, but Colbert absolutely killed it. I nearly fell off my chair I was laughing so hard. "To the F@#&pit!"

this might explain oberman's wild and eratic behavior swictching between fox and msnbc. He found that the left would embrace his psychotic delusional rants and stayed on that side of the line due to his mental condition.

In August 1980, he also suffered a head injury while "leaping" onto a New York City Subway train.[106] This head injury permanently upset his equilibrium, resulting in his avoidance of driving.

It isn't 47% of Americans, it is 47% of those who voted for Obama. His family got off welfare and did something. Go hang out in NE DC for a few days, listen to hwo peopel talk about using the system. It is almost like a family business.

Mayor Barry-I can't believe he said somethign that I agree with-once was on tv talking about a lady who had another kid so it would increase her welfare. He said they have generations of people who are abusing the system.

the thing is, if people are not given a clear end to the welfare benefits, maybe 47% will stay on it.

Sorry, but go listen to the tape for yourself. Here is what Romney says:

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what."

He later says:

"I mean, when you ask those people…we do all these polls—I find it amazing—we poll all these people, see where you stand on the polls, but 45 percent of the people will go with a Republican, and 48 or 4…" (the tape stops there).

The fallacy that both you and Romney engage in is the idea that the 47% who don't pay federal income taxes are all moochers on the government. As has been stated several times, this group includes retirees, students, people who work but don't earn enough to pay taxes, people who work and have deductions such as child tax credits that offset their taxes, and active duty military folks.

Even if you thought Romney meant 47% of Obama voters, that would still be roughly 25% of the voters. Do you really believe that a quarter of the US population is made up of your anecdotal NE DC welfare queens?

ANd that all 47% of the income tax "dodgers" are Dems, which is not true.

10:14, please explain how the "left" is "stupid."

Particularly since Rick Santorum just said that the Republicans will never get the vote of the "elite, smart people."

Her name is Rasheeda Moore, please show her some respect.

How many of you know someone from an inner city that depend on welfare? They live in projects, they rely on food stamps etc. Not just unemployment.

no one denies that welfare fraud happens...or that there are people who will continue to live in the cycle of poverty.

It is just that the percentage of folks like that in this 47% is rather small.

Doesn't this 47% include families who get refunds because of the Earned Income and Child Care subsidies and the like? Those aren't the welfare queens people love to scream about.

He sucks the only job he has been able to hold is reading sports scores.

I bet his employer is paying him more than your employer pays you for your job. He can suck that million plus all the way to the bank.

And since he's making the big bucks, doesn't that automatically validate him in a republican/ capitalist worldview? He has money, therefore he has value. He has succeeded in the open market. That makes him a rockstar to you people.

Hang out in NE DC, witch I live in NE DC. BTW--I have been working since I was sixteen filing 1040EZ with the feds. I started using 1040A at 21 after graduating from college. Yes, all of us in NE DC are just looking for a way to bilk the system. We are your welfare queens and your boogie man. Oh, and I will vote for Obama again. I am Obama's 47% and I pay a higher percentage in taxes than Williard Mitt Romney. I have no money stashed in the Cayman Island, Switzerland, and Bermuda.

Romney is rightbut this is a deep idealogical divide between romney and obama. Romney wants opportunity (ie jobs) to lift ppl out of poverty and reliance on the govt. obama wants to spread the wealth around and keep ppl from rising out of dependence on the govt by making them completely reliable on the govt. there are 2 schools of thought. I agree with Romney but to each his own.
