Geez, OP. Get the facts before you start frothing at the mouth about Johnny Depp's involvement. There is compelling evidence that the three were innocent of any crimes and that the murdered boys were actually killed by one of the boy's stepfather.

There is no physical evidence, no circumstantial evidence, absolutely NOTHING that links these boys to the crime. They only evidence they have is a coerced confession from a mentally retarded teenager who did not have the benefit of counsel.

And please watch the Paradise Lost films. I saw the first one in the theater and followed the case ever since. Peter Jackson is coming out with a different documentary, West of Memphis, this fall. These kids are innocent and the real killer of those poor little boys will never be found or brought to justice. Just a travesty all around.

I was in my last years of high school when this crime was committed and I remember all the news coverage it recieved. I later watched both Paradise movies and I have not doubted the innocense of these men.

The only reason they even had Echols as a suspect was because he was mentally ill and heard rumors about him. They police department conveniently lost everything that didn't support their case and they refused any outside help from other agencies.
