Sorry to hijack your post OP but does anyone know if position matters if you have a tilted uterus?

| I have a very retroverted uterus and just read (after years of ttc) that in that case doggie style and laying on your stomach is the best. Makes sense and I will certainly be trying it next cycle! |

| OP - I am 40 lbs overweight and we have no problems with missionary or any other position for that matter. You say your belly gets in the way - is it just that you're self conscious about it? Have you tried just putting your legs up in the air or on his shoulders? |

Yes, I am self conscious about it. But also he just can't seem to get it done in that position.

Some people say "doggy style" is best for those of us with a tilted uterus. However we did it missionary and worked for us - not sure it makes a big difference either way. |

| I think doggy is almost as good as missionary because it allows for deeper penetration. Whenever we did it that way while TTC, I made an incline out of my back, so that I wasn't "on all fours" but actually tilted downwards, giving the little gentlemen an easy run for their money. I mean, who knows? If there were really an ideal position for conception, there would be no Teen Mom, ya know? But it felt good to be proactive anyway. |
