Somerset for a shy child

OP: thank you all for your thoughtful replies. I am planning to visit Somerset (and some privates) in the coming months, so you have given me lots to think about, and several ideas of questions to ask the schools.

For the parents who have decided to go private, any suggestions for nurturing schools in the area would be most appreciated! I am open to both private and parochial schools. Thanks again.
