Looking for baby furniture stores

i think the stuff at pottery barn kids is hit-or-miss. i don't think it's high enough quality to justify what they are charging for it. just my $.02.

i bought my baby's furniture at lullaby baby in columbia. we love it and they were great to deal with.

We bought a set of shelves from Pottery Barn Kids and it was very cheaply constructed. I looked at dressers at PBK, but didn't buy one because seem to be cheaply made also, so I wouldn't expect their cribs to be any better. We bought our crib, dresser/changer, bedding, and glider for baby #1 at Wren and Divine. I thought the prices were really reasonable and the quality high (except for the glider, it's is piece of junk and always falling off it's track). At the time, the service was great. However, I've been back and the people who used to work there have moved on and the new staff doesn't seem very helpful. Friends who have bought things from them recently have all complained that their service is horrible. I ordered everything for baby #2 at Daisy Baby in Bethesda and couldn't be happier with their service, selection and quality.

I agree that poshtots.com is a great website for upscale furniture, bedding, etc. (although you can order the exact same things at Wren & Divine or Daisy Baby for cheaper), and BBB has a good selection if you're looking to spend less.

I bought my furniture from Great Beginnings. I haven't gotten it yet, but I was really impressed with the selection and with the knowledgeable sales people. I made an appointment and got a great overview of their selection and what I should be looking for in my furniture.

We bought the furniture at IKEA. It's practical, and although we have to take our weekend time and patience to assemble them, it blends very well with the pale colors we have in our apartment. Also, it's a great option if you're looking to spend less. For bedding and clothes my preference is with Buy Buy Baby. For toys, Great Beginnings.

WREN & DIVINE in McLean VA has lower prices on Stanley, Paintbox, Morigeau Lepine than any other store in the area. Quality is top notch - not pressed board from Asia like Pottery Barn and Bellini. Service is boutique style - bought a crib for under $500.00 - cheaper than Babies R Us. Incredible website: www.wrenanddivine.com. Bottles etc. the basics - I would go to Babies R Us.

Lullaby Baby in Columbia MD has great higher-end items. We bought our crib and dresser/changing table with hutch there and they were so great to work with. www.lullaby-baby.com

i went to wren & devine in mclean and found the staff to be unhelpful and i didn't think there was a whole lot to look at on the floor. they told me they are moving to another space soon. haven't checked out their website though.

i agree with the PPs that PBK has cheaply constructed stuff that they are charging an arm & a leg for. if you're willing to spend money at PBK, save it and go to a place like wren & devine or lullaby baby or bellini. you will get much better construction and appearance for pretty much the same price.
