What should come first a diverse school faculty or a diverse student population?

That sounds like some of the graduate students I teach... won't do. Google will tell you the world is flat if you look long and hard enough.
Try EBSCO, Ovid Education, etc and give me some credible references.

+100. Sorry, Chuckie, but if you want to make a believable case, you need to bring the data.

Integration never did anything great for black students in this country.

Are you saying black students are better off segregated?

(I smell a troll here...)

Historically speaking, yes. And it has been a downward spiral ever since. We went from schools that had teachers who had our best interests at heart in to the hands of the oppressor (as evidenced by the fact that the first integrationists were threatened and harassed by their white counterparts and adults even though they were just children trying to get an education.)

Google that.

Oh, well. Enough said. Why is this such a newsflash? How white is your world? Get over it and move on, if you want data then go to the HBCU on Georgia Ave and begin your research.

Here it comes, what is a HBCU? Google that too. Better yet ask one of your AA graduate students that you teach.

I am exhausted with this blog, clueless whites makes us colored yearn for familiarity.

Good Lord, get a grip. This is 2012, not 1952.

The person who makes a statement that is supported by data, should supply the data.

Without it, it's just hearsay. Any good teacher, regardless of color, would tell you that.
Anonymous
It's hearsay, duh rah. Then I don't believe that you don't know the facts. Acting ignorant to the facts or deploying stall tactics in wanting data does not disprove that what is known AA community to be true. It is a simple as familiarity brings comfort and that is not data-needed but results seen and experienced.

Hell, live by data and you surely will die by it, too.

As for it being 2012 and 1952... Someone needed to tell our current VP that it isn't 1852. History, does repeats itself and there's data to support that, too.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Ignorance now is the same as ignorance then: Hate is hate.

Ignorance? No. Reality. And the only hate here is entirely in your head.

Keep on believing that we are living in a post-racial America if you wish. The news tells me otherwise.
Anonymous
so you listen to the news, and you know what the data says, but you won't supply it because of white hate?

I will consider this an outlier attitude of one black person.

You are an adult. Do your own research if it means that much to you. As far as my "outlier attitude", feel about that however you wish, (and I know you feel some kind of way or else you would not have commented on it, LMAO).
