I miss business people who felt an obligation to give back to the communities and didn't harp that the the lowest taxes in 50 years were a burden.

The "idle rich and undertaxed" are the people with high assets, not everyone with high incomes (many of whom are working hard building their assets). If you really want to tax the "idle rich and undertaxed," let's talk about ways to tax real estate and financial assets, not primarily income.

I agree with you about where Obama's scorn is directed. But, if the OP is truly referencing "You didn't build that", the OP is quite mistaken. Are you familiar with Contrywide and Friends of Angelo and the influence pedling that was happening there? Exactly whose consituents were likely to get the NINJA loans anyway? With the banking mess, I would say we got just what we deserved and asked for.

Corporate taxes have never exceeded more than about 6% of GDP and currently are less than 2%.

The taxes that build roads and infrastructure come from the people, with a nominal contribution from business.

I've bolded the critical passage. I am pretty sure that stating exactly what he said is not "spinning".

You are correct that businesses pay some amount of taxes or engage in commerce that generates taxes which help fund the government. However, people like you and me purchase the products those businesses produce, which helps fund those businesses. You and I no more produce that product we help finance than those businesses build the roads that their taxes help finance. That seems pretty obvious, don't you think. Clearly, a road by itself produces no revenue. Similarly, a business that is devoid of public infrastructure is unlikely to succeed. These things succeed because "we do things together." That is exactly Obama's point.

That's great for you to say. But then when business booms, you get the upside. So you want government employees to be exposed to all of the risk, but they will never have upside because the government will never turn a profit.

Way back, Obama was careless enough to speak of people clinging to their guns and Bibles. It was an honest and, IMO, justified thought, but not something you say in public. I am a 1%er and dont consider myself "rich." i would happily pay for more taxes if it actually went toward all the thE things Dems say wil disappear without increased taxes such as teachers, firemen, roads BUT we all know OUR money is being spent on solyndra, bridges to nowhere and marketing food stamps to illegals, etc etc. America doesnt like it and is fighting back. What is our fair share anyway...75% of our income like France is proposing???im done and voting for Romney and so is everyone I know.. Even former Obama supporters

It's not a big deal because early stage companies have about a 10% success rate. If you don't invest, you never win. But 9 out of 10 times you expect to lose. That is the basis of venture capital. And that is why it is not a big deal.

People can decide Obama is not who they thought he was going to be. This particular troll never thought much of him to begin with and I'm tired of hearing him impersonate disillusioned Obama supporters in a personal campaign to sway opinion through his lies.
