You should get together with other couples that are pregnant. We laughed and laughed when one of the guys in our Lamaze class said he wasn't turned on by a woman unless there was something alive in there!

He needs to talk to his friends that have had children and lighten up a little. There isn't much you can do about it yourself, someone else has to tell him.

FWIW, we were given the green light at 6 weeks post-partum and things went surprisingly well from there. Not sure if 6 weeks is standard, but I thought I'd share. In the meantime, I'd feel NO guilt on the vibrator front if I were you. Staying happy and relaxed is what it's all about during pregnancy!
