If you have had an abortion, what do you believe happens to the baby's soul?

What are you talking about?

She's saying that all the people like me who have had an abortion are going to hell.

I was an atheist by the time I had my abortion, so I didn't believe in souls, or hell.

I think the OP was wondering if the aborted babies soul would qualify for entry into heaven.
Or if it would languish in purgatory or go on a world tour and reappear when the women has her second baby.

She did not ask what happens to the souls of the ones that end up in miscarriage.

OP what do we do about the souls of in vitro fertilized eggs that do not "adhere" in utero?
Do we have a a funeral?
Do we have a service after each and every failed in vitro attempt?
Where do their souls go.....?
OP are you beginning to grasp the inane nature of your post yet?
You should worry about your soul and the souls of your loved ones. You're converting no one on this particular mission.

Why did I click on this thread? LOL Hilarious.

The answer lies somewhere between your religious beliefs, politics and the afterlife. But I like the Ghostbusters comment the best!

I don't think the soul returns later. It meets you in heaven and you weep, embrace, and the soul forgives you for denying them entry into our earthly paradise....

You must take the deceased featus and bury it under a tree. Thatway the tree roots will trap it. Otherwise it will return and snatch away the soul of one of your existing children

Belief in your G-d = no abortion

Nothing you have to worry about.

Don't foist your believing in the supernatural upon others
Do you have a forwarding address for lost soul?

I believe in God and I also believe in a woman's right to choose what is best for her.

Do threads or the thoughts contained therein have a soul?

OP here, not trying to convert anyone. Just trying to see others' views. Obviously many think my question is amusing, but think about it. Only 5% of Americans are atheist, therefore it's safe to assume that most people don't view the concept of a soul as ludicrous. Also, about 51% of the population is pro-choice. Therefore, many pro-choice people also believe in souls. Therefore, for those like-minded individuals, which I think is fair to assume is a considerable amount. What do you believe happens to the soul of an aborted fetus, or likewise that of a miscarried fetus?

Just like anyone who has died, they go to Heaven or Hell. I don't know why you are getting bent out of shape with this question. They are innocent victims, not responsible for their deaths, therefore they have done nothing to suggest they would go anywhere except for Heaven. So, relax, your baby is in Heaven.

THAT IS WHY I said: the main question should be: where do the souls of the folks who were responsible for their deaths go?

Why are you all worried about question #1 and not about #2? Doesn't make logical sense.

PS And why, if this is a religious subject, is this in the POLITICAL forum?????????

I do not think that I have ever given this a second of a thought. Now that I thought about it, it isn't worth my time to think about. I don't believe a soul existed.

A friend of mine who had an abortion, but has not yet had children believes that the soul will return again in her future child. This is such a taboo topic, but I imagine that most women who have had abortions have had some thoughts about what happens to their fetus after an abortion.

The baby's soul goes to Limbo, where the Oreo cookies don't have the super-good creamy filling and the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches never have enough jelly on them. I have also heard that they have kittens to play with but they're the hair-less breed (Sphynx) and really not all that cuddly.

PP The next question will be: when the ABORTION CLINIC flushes the contents of the vacuum down the drain with the cluster of fetal cells screaming in non-existent fetal pain where will this stupid debate should go next.... (caps emphasis - the mere mention drives them nuts

I think I screwed up the stats on atheists, since I did not have the guts to check the Godless Commie Atheist box. Seriously, don't you think the numbers might be suppressed by the fact that the word is often stated in a tone that implies that phrase?
