Why do people give their kids juice?

What is wrong with you? I mean that. What on Earth is wrong with you? Rigid much?

It's not that serious, I don't critique other people's choices in raising their children.

Are you the mom at the birthday party that won't let your kid have juice box?

OP here. Yes, of course my LO gets treats. I'm just wondering what the benefits are beyond it tasting good. MIL believes it's something she should be having regularly, even though she has fresh fruit everyday.

Lots of vitamins in most juices. Provided it's actual juice.

Humans consume food.

Until they are old enough for wine, they drink it to celebrate Shabbat. Darn religious holiday always getting in the way of a good juice-free time.

good question. If all the other kids are having juice at a party, do you make your kid have water?

Only if it's organic water. Otherwise, nothing.

Never gave it with #1 bc I think it's all sugar too. Now he goes to friends or is somewhere that it's offered he doesn't even like it. Too sugary, he is a very picky eater (doesn't even like chocolate, ice pops, or any candy it is odd). #2 would be an addict if we let he have it bc she loves fruit. Instead of juice she gets flavored water sometimes.

Moral of the story, we don't drink juice ourselves bc it is all sugar so we don't have it in the house.

18:06 again if DS (4.5) is at a party he can have what he wants to drink, he will 100% of the time as for white milk as he calls it. If milk isn't an option he asks for water.

Not all kids love juice.

My daughter is regularly constipated, pear, apple amd prune juice help with that.

As a side note: I grew up in a "sugar free" house and have serious food issues. Everything in moderation, juice included.

Why do people ask stupid questions?

Michael Phelps drank juice as a kid. Hurt much? Doesn't seem to be.
