Yes, OP doesn't understand what an actual adjunct professor does - which in the case of this guy was he probably got to teach a course now and then. He doesn't run anything.

this guy's an ass, and what i love most about this little stunt is that he felt the need to let her know that HE's not gay. nope, nope, not me, just support in; the cause! when i was in college (a million years ago) we were taught that homophobia is (at least in part) the fear of being gay or being perceived as gay -- he fits that definition perfectly.

p.s. i don't care if he's straight or gay, i just think that anyone who was truly supporting the cause, not just looking for notoriety, would not have felt the need to identify his sexual orientation.
