| If you have slightly older kids (school aged), you might think about going to Fort Niagara. It is on the American side and is a restored fort from the French and Indian War and later the War of 1812. They have all sorts of special stuff this summer because of the 200 anniversary of the War of 1812. I worked there during the summer as a college student and it is a great family day trip. You could do this in the same day that you go to Niagara on the Lake because you can cross at the Lewiston Bridge (upstream from the Rainbow Bridge) and it will put you right by both. |
