I'm due with #4 in September and turn 38 two months later. Right about now this feels like insanity, but no more so than my previous pregnancies.

I had my second at 40 so clearly I think 38 is fine for a fourth. My concern for you would be another set of twins!

I had my second and final a month after I turned 38. I think this is much different than a 4th. Two vs 4 kids as an older parents is a biiiggggg difference!!!!

I am 37 with 4 kids (had my last just a few weeks before my 31st birthday), but REALLY REALLY want another one. If Dh was on board, I would try to get pregnant now--so likely I would have my 5th child at age 38...

So yes, I would have a 4th child at age 38

same stats as you. I decided at 42 that there is no way in hell Id go for a third now. I conceived first try with my other two and have several family members that conceieved easily after 40 with healthy babies. It's the age thing that sticks with me. The 4 and below years are tiring even of you are a marAthon runner like me.

You survived 3 year old twins and a baby at age 35/36...I think you can handle it. I would no question.

I just had #3 at 35, turning 36 soon. I'm already considering #4 -- thinking if we follow the same course as #1,2 and 3 then #4 could be born when I am 37/38. So, my vote is Go for It! Please keep us posted.

Well, I wouldn't have a 4th at all, but if you want that many kids, I don't think age should stop you!

We now have four. They are 8,4,4 and 1. I had our last little guy at 36. He is a wonderful addition and I feel it gives a little more balance to our family. Sometimes I think our eldest felt a little bit like the "odd man out" with her twin brother and sister and now she has a real bond with our youngest. It is incredible! Like yourselves we are not well off by DC standards but we make it work. Good luck with your decision!

Nope. I had mine at 28 and 30 and am now 36 and don't want another at this age.
