| PP, is your point that at this point in the summer is it too late to hope for waitlist movement? I am genuinely interested in knowing whether it is possible for a student to be admitted off a waitlist at this point. For that reason, I'd love to hear the story of the person who stated that it was her/his experience that it's possible for WLs to move during the summer. |

| There is always a chance that someone moved or couldn't pay tuition. The chances are low but it can happen. |

| If you're still holding out hope to be admitted from the WL, give the AD a call. I'm sure she'll be happy to tell you if there's a chance or not. The AD I spoke with in May told me that it was very unlikely their WL would move (i.e., no chance in Hell), so we've moved passed that school and are excited about the school we were admitted to and DC will be attending. I would think that something unusual would have to happen at this point for a school to go to its WL, since everyone admitted is now contractually bound to pay a year's tuition. I kind of think anyone holding out hope at this point is fooling herself. |
