Honestly, wtf can a president do to encourage job creation?
Most companies that I see do their best to fire people to get more "productivity" out of the ones left and try to find any way they can to fire more. I can see tax rate difference working to MOVE jobs from state to state, but it doesn't seem to CREATE jobs. When the incentives are to hire as FEW people as possible to MAXIMIZE profits, how can anyone going to reduce unemployment? And artificially stimulating the economy by creating bubbles/non-negotiable pensions is artificial "temporary" jobs aka gas jobs, fracking jobs, oil jobs, housing jobs, solyndra jobs, union jobs. Neither Romney or Obama's gonna change this. They both spread their legs for doners and rich friends (No, Dems just smell just as much as Reps. Reps are just more devious about it. And please I'd love for Republicans to come up with something better than just anti-Obama/Obamacare. Want to buy some real conservatives please, who wont' waste our money on poking around women's hoohahs like they owned it, and f'nkin cut subsidies, including oil and other big businesses. market competition my butt.) Won't the ranks of poor Americans continue to grow, since our social mobility is going down (if you're born poor, you'll stay poor), middle class will be afraid of keeping their jobs, and upper class will be afraid of the poor and pay more to create more prisons cause with no social support, poor will turn to crime... I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. |
This chart says it all. Who would you rather have in charge? Romney or Obama, note the MASSIVE fall with Obama. ![]() http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/obama-versus-romney-on-job-creation/2012/05/31/gJQAgDjE5U_blog.html?hpid=z1 |
Dude the amount that it went up by is statistically insignificant. It's morons like you who don't understand the concept of numbers and statistics and will believe whatever anyone tells you without doing research to understand what is actually going on that make me sick. |
Here is what the article to which you link says, "Romney’s record was weaker than other governors of similar states in the same time period." |
Unemployment was less then 5% under romney how much lower could it really get, the fact he created more jobs was amazing vs obummer |
Yes, 5% unemployment is full employment. Under Romney it was as low as 4.7% Are you really going to argue job creation numbers with unemployment numbers like that? Had a conversation with a MA based general contractor. He has a small construction company and reports that it was impossible to find enough workers during those days. We should have such problems now. |
You guys need to get your story straight. The guy above posted a chart that is supposed to show that Romney had a great job creation record. In fact, MA was 47th in the nation for job creation. Now, you claim because unemployment was low -- something Romney inherited -- he couldn't create very many jobs. So, which is it: did Romney create jobs or not? The fact is, Romney came into office with MA's unemployment rate already below the national average. The only reason unemployment fell is that residents were moving out of the state. During Romney's administration, MA had the third-highest rate of departures in the country. Romney had given MA residents the largest per capita debt in the nation and increased taxes on the middle class. No wonder construction friend couldn't find workers: they had all moved to other states! |
"Hate and Blame" it is the new "Hope and Change." Watch what happens this Tuesday in Wisconsin and we'll see whose world is going to get rocked this November.... |
Why not go with a guy who wasa successful businessman and had executive experience running a state over someone who has driven our economy into the ditch with no recovery in sight? Seems like a no brainer to me.. How much more time with Americans give Obama ?hopefully not 4 more yrs. |
really? because "we" gave Bush 8 and he had a similar background. HE drove the economy into a ditch, but that's OK - it's the GOP way to conveniently forget facts and then scream because it is taking too long to clean up the disaster of their own creation. |
