Fear of being pregnant

Anonymous
Hi, I am now pregnant with my 3rd pregnancy also and lost #2 at 7 weeks. I have posted about this a few times on this board and have had a lot of great advice. One of the best things that I can share with you is that you need a doctor who is sympathetic to your loss. My doctor will do a sonogram at every appointment. This pregnancy started with a lot of spotting and I was certain that there was no hope. That stopped, but because of that and my prior m/c, my doc gave me a sonogram every week until we saw the heartbeat. Today is my nuchal fold test and I'm so excited to see the baby. It has helped having a doctor understand how afraid I am and it also helps put the fears aside to see the baby growing and healthy.

Best wishes to you and a healthy, happy pregnancy!

OP here- Ladies, you rock! Thank you so much for all the support and words of kindness! I wish I knew you all in person to give you a big hug!

Update on my condition: on the day that I posted my "fear of being pregnant" message, I went ahead and took a pregnancy test. I came out positive I called my doctor's office to ask for advice and ask them to see me like in September or October, and my doc wants to see me next week. I told the nurse how anxious I am feeling and she said that the fact that I had a m/c the last time, does not mean that I am more likely to have it this time.

I am still a little bit in denial, I think. On the day that I found out that I am pregnant, I told my new baby that I love him/her very much and to please stay there so s/he can be my child and a little brother or sister to my other child.

Thank you so much for your well wishes and your prayers!

I will keep you posted!
