Taking vacations just as a couple versus traveling to visit friends

Pre-kids, we travelled together as a couple all the time. I miss it so much!!

I think a lot of people who live in this area are from another place so they need to use all of their vacation time/funds to visit their family and friends who are scattered around. DH and I are both from here so most of our family and friends are local.
